Book Review - Title: The Me I Want To Be by John Ortberg

One of the best book on personal development in aspects of spiritual life, work life, perspective, family life and personal life.

In straightforward pointers and getting straight to the point without beating around the bushes, pastor John takes you from finding your identity as the starting point through discovering more about yourself and working on areas like your mind, your time, your relationships, your experiences and finally putting all into application.

First time reading it is simply enjoying the cream of the cake. It is best to read another round or maybe three to fully assimilate the juices into our being and doing - our life overflow.

I particularly like the section he talks about finding a few difficult people - yes it is difficult people - to help you and I grow. There is just no way around it. Everywhere is about relationships.

After reading this book, I am going to add to my book reading list John Ortberg's other titles, namely:

1. If You Want to Walk on Water, You've Got to Get Out of the Boat.
2. The Life You've Always Wanted.
3. Everybody's Normal Till You Get To Know Them.
4. Living the God Life: Finding God's Extraordinary Love in Your Ordinary Life.
5. God Is Closer Than You Think: If God is Always with Us, why is He So Hard to Find?
6. When the Game Is Over, It All Goes Back in the Box.

7. Who Is This Man?: The Unpredictable Impact of the Inescapable Jesus.
