My Prayer Today

Dear holy and Almighty God, thank you for your daily mercies where I can have this blessed privilege to enter into your holy presence in prayer. I do not deserve it, but You in Your great mercies and love, gave through the sacrifice of Your beloved Son, Jesus.

I humbly seek Your forgiveness  for my sinfulness, my forgetfulness, my disrespect of Your holy and just Presence, my faithlessness in trust - basically zero in measure - trusting in my own workings and leaning on my own understanding and ways. In your great mercies and compassion and patience, please forgive me. May You cleanse me and restore the joy of Your salvation in Christ.

Take not Your Holy Spirit from me. Grant me a keenness to Your omnipresence and act in ways that magnify Your holy name and acknowledge Your presence.

I pray this in Jesus' name, whom Jesus taught us to pray in.

Amen, amen, amen.

Good and Bad

A story of a boy
His parent with him
A horse ride fall
Crippled the boy
The parents sad
Why so so bad!

A war broke out
The nation calls
A letter received
The boy and all
Then understood
That it was good!

So what is good?
So what is bad?
Not in a mood
Happy is the lad
God loves us all
In Jesus life install!

Death and Pain

Death and pain have a way that forces us to pay attention. To pay attention to the people we have taken for granted or procrastinated to relate with for a long time. Isn't it time to really set aside both quantity and quality time to be with them, listen to them and love them?

How To Rest In The Lord?

Not by comfy pillows or beds, nor by the peaceful surroundings they give, neither is it more health supplements or more breaks from work.

Read about how Jesus sleeps amidst the storm in the Gospel of Mark, chapter 4, verses 35-41.

Jesus Conquered Death

I tell you this, brothers: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.

Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality. When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written:

“Death is swallowed up in victory.”
“O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?”

The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

In The Surgery Room I Was Alone, Was I?

The feeling of being left alone is close by, like breath in my lungs and food on my tongue.

God is not visibly present.

Should God be visibly present?
Why should He?

Is He not already visible in many ways? The fact of me being alive is a great evidence of His mercies towards each one, whether or not we know of it or not; whether we acknowledge it or deny it - God's abundant mercies are great to every individual everyday.

Forever thanks to Him.

How Do I Know God Is Real?

A short statement of faith.

Why I believe ?

The miracles of life. The make up of the human body and the creation. The blessings of God in daily life.

The wrongness feeling of life. The depravity of man. Something is not right with the world we live in. The injustices. The unfairness. The suffering.

The helpless feeling that pulls us toward or gravitates to the need of a Savior. There must be a God so great and mighty and immeasurably unlimited and eternal forever who will wrap up life in the end.

The man Jesus who is God, took the punishment of man's sins and satisfied the great wrath of God.

The resurrected Christ.
The reasonable Church.
The rising of a closure/climax.

The life.
The death.
The reconciliation.

When A Man Has A Mission

The tune of the above sounds like but is not like the man who has a woman.

When a man has a mission, not a woman though the mission may involve women, there seems to be that energy somehow from somewhere, which gives the man the boost; the life to press on and not give up; to go the extra mile.

Yes without vision, a nation perish. Without mission, a man may be doomed.

*this man is applicable for woman also.

Fill Us With Yourself

Prayer Time

Fill us with Yourself
You gave Yourself
None is better
You provided us the dailies
Those are temporary
Those are just a glimpse
Those just create a need for more
We still feel the gap
We still feel the hunger not met
We still hear the growling
We still have to keep coming to the well to fill our pail cups

Fill us with Yourself
The Living Water
The everlasting Living Water
The all satisfying Living Water

Overflow from my lives, our lives
And allow others in our lives
To have a wonder filled foretaste
That they would ask for more
That they would seek for more
That their hearts moved
That they would move to Christ
That they would do the same
Like I did

Fill us with Yourself

Kindly Training

First walk on straight line on ground

Then walk on straight line one feet above ground

Next walk on straight line two feet above ground

You got the idea.

First cycle with training wheels.

Then cycle without training wheels.

Finally cycle with practice and confidence.

You got the idea.

Practise the Presence of God

A lady prays, confesses her sins and acknowledges Jesus as Lord and Savior. The Holy Spirit indwells her, embraced by God the Father and Jesus.

Joy fills her soul and she shares her joy with her best friends. One by one, he hears, she hears, they heard. Their hearts were overjoyed. Each one prays, confesses his or her sins and acknowledges Jesus as Lord and Savior. The Spirit indwells them all, embraced by God the Father and God the Son.

As she walks, They walked with her. As she talks, she listens to the Words she read from the Scriptures, the Holy Bible.

As she lies down, she remembers His presence and gives thanks to God Almighty. As she sleeps, she knows who watches over her and protects her.

As she studies, she seeks the best to please her God and ask Him for guidance and wisdom, who gives generously.

As she mourns, His comfort encourages through His words and through the people He sends.

Blessed be the name!

In The Beginning God ...

In the beginning God ...

If we ever in our finite minds think about our origins, and begin digging up history and researching historical texts, consider the first few words found in the holy and also historical text of the Bible.

'In the beginning God...' To not start with this text is to continue the search in the haystack.

What happened in the beginning? What was in the beginning? When was it can anyone make a guess?

The author of Genesis as revealed to him wrote about the beginning whose starting point is God.

With God being the starting point of everything we do, what difference do you think it makes?

God of the universe - may I know you and may your presence fill our every life.

Out of Sight, Out of Mind

Out of Sight, Out of Mind

The need for visuals has become an excuse for the brain to etch an instant recall for words or speech or work list.

Once more I have forgotten to get more plastic bags for the shop. What happened!? I didn't see the plastic bag in order to remind me to purchase them. I needed the visual.

Get yourself a notebook!
And write down, for saving time sake and sharing time sake.

So What Happened

So What Happened

A C woman sat down with a B man on the bus at the start of a journey at the bus terminal. After a while, the man made a sneeze. After a while later, the man sneezed again. The woman snubbed her nose.

He was getting attention already.

He then sneezed again. And then again. The woman then changed her seat to another empty one.

Then the man stopped sneezing.

So what happened? Who was the irritant one?

A Phoneless Day Experience

Leaving the phone behind is like letting go of your favorite ice cream and going without ice cream for a day or days. The feeling can also be like a baby weaning off from the mother's breast and getting used to either the pacifier or milk powder. This is also liken to the withdrawal symptoms of addict faces.

Letting go of good cheese is one of many lessons from the book 'Who Moved My Cheese?' The good thing about letting go is the opportunity to go look for better cheese. Without letting go, we can't grab hold of new cheese when it comes.

What are the losses in a Phoneless day? Disconnected from many things ie information, knowledge, loss in virtual or maybe material rewards, unable to say good bye to good friends, wasn't able to snap up a good deal, weren't the first to wish someone Happy Birthday, missed out in many advertisement goodies etc etc.

What are the gains in a Phoneless day? Connected with friends in a nice face to face talk; get to finally see how many wrinkles on my parents' face; catch a glimpse of beautiful sun set or forest green trees and seasonal leaves and cute garden animals; have my eyes a good break from the zapping bright screens; not over working my brains to find my way out of the virtual world; enjoy a really good relaxing sleep; smell a real cup of capocinno or latte coffee; gave my ears a break from the jamming music but hearing the majestic chirping of natures birds plus of course the daily horns of cars and trucks; last but not last, the breathing in of a gasp of fresh air and enjoying it without rushing it.

Tell me - which is better or maybe it is simply a decision to work on it in a balanced or moderate way.

Which Is Better?

Which Is Better?

His visible presence with us?

Or

His invisible presence with us?

Which one gains more?

A Phoneless Day

A Phoneless Day!? - you must be kidding me.

Have you tried to live a day without the gadgets or your phone? How do you know if you are hooked or addicted to the attractiveness and convenience of phone games and social apps?

You may probably observe the screen fixed people big and small in your surrounding. Do the Maths and learn how many are on their phones as compared to those in conversations or reading.

Try a Phoneless day and see the lessons you can learn and observe on yourself and list out the gains and loss.

Forgiving and Free

Thank you God for sending an enormous message in advance; the message of forgiving someone who does not deserve to be forgiven.

First of all, I who do not deserve forgiveness have received His mercies and forgiveness through faith and leadership in Jesus.

Second, I learn from the book 'Thoughts to make your heart Sing' that as we forgive, it is not the one forgiven who is set free, but it is the one who forgives who experiences the freedom.

Think about it.

I Am A Miracle!

Don't you agree?

I am a miracle!
Life itself is a miracle.

Being alive is a miracle, even when circumstances do not look so.

These Three Words

God Loves Me

Let these three words sink in.

God ... Loves ... Me

Any questions? Doubts?

Wonder. Ponder on the...
Awesomeness.

God. Who is this God?

Creator of all things.
All things! Man!

Loves.

What picture appears?
A heart.
How big do you think God's heart can be?

Me. You mean 'Me', as in 'I'?

Who are I? Yes, me and I.

God Loves Me!

Why do you think we do not experience God's love?

>

Something is blocking us from experiencing God's love.

It is sin - the things we think, say or do that is wrong and makes God mad and sad.

Sin separates us from God who is holy and just. This results in spiritual death. Nothing we can do can help us.

But God came to help. He came in Jesus and He took the death punishment upon Himself and brought us back to God.

We and I and you can experience His love once again through believing in Jesus, receiving Him through acknowledging our sin, believing Jesus died for my sin, buried and came back to life on Easter and confess Jesus as Saviour and Lord.

Through this step of believing and receiving Jesus, we become children of God. I become a child of God and can begin to experience His love.

Does this make sense to you?

Learning and Growing with Difficult People

Have you ever thought why we have difficult people to live with? Where did they come from? When they were young, didn't they learn from their parents to be considerate and kind to others?

How in the world did they show up in our midst and worst still, we have to work with them? When did they appear? When they were babies, they were so cute and cuddly. Oh then what happened?

On the other hand, and on second thought, difficult people do cause us to be kind to them and also to learn from them. They kind of help us build up a system of matching a jumbled jigsaw to find the matching piece to the overall puzzle.

Difficult people is not perfect.
Difficult people are sinners too.

We can grow with difficult people.
We can learn from them.

We may be the difficult person,
helping other to grow also.

Meeting The Contagious God

What happens when we come in touch with a contagious person? All depends what is this person being contagious with? Is it a deadly virus or disease or a life threatening bug? All will want to be far away and not to mention to be anywhere near to such a person.

But what if this person is God. No ordinary person but the God Almighty. Will you rethink and put a thought to be near this God? If you hear a news of a doctor who can cure of your ailment or help with your troubling concerns or better still be with you in all your daily experience of life, will you still stay put status quo and say to yourself: "This is nonsense. No such thing!" And continue with living. That is one of the thousand of subtle choices we make to 'stay in darkness, then go seek the Light.'

Who can this be?

Who is this man?

Man - the Contagious God?

See the drastic, dramatic and 'demanding' changes this man has made to individuals and then to the entire world and universe!

Seek Him while He may be found!
