Where Is My Comb?
One year ago in August 2011 a little girl of 9 asked his dad, "Where is my comb?" That was a simple question.
But more often, we may be the answer to certain questions we asked of others.
This little girl could use her God given eyes to look around for the comb instead of simply using her mouth to do the job. The process of finding could be a stress and time consuming but the result of finding brings about satisfaction, fulfillment and sense of achievement.
So the next time you think of asking though asking can simply get the job done faster, consider finding it yourself first.

How Do You Want To Live?
I have found this guidance useful for my and our consideration and also serves as a reminder to many: How Do You Want To Live?
1. Live Above Your Means
Those who live above their means "buy the things they do not need with the money they do not have just to impress the people they do not know". They end up with big possessions and even bigger debts. They have lots of gadgets and little generosity.
2. Live With Your Means
If we live with our means, we spend all we have by the end of the month and eagerly wait for the next pay cheque to arrive. The philosophy is "eat, drink and be merry for tomorrow we may die". This can be a very stressful way to live!
3. Live Within Your Means
The ones who live within their means live with some degree of wisdom. They make sure that they have something left aside for a rainy day. They give thought to things like insurance and investments.
4. Live Below Your Means
People who are skilled in the spiritual discipline of simplicity come to the point where, even though they can well afford something, they choose to do without it so that they have more to share with others. They have learnt to say, "Enough is enough." They are not driven to upgrade each time a new product is introduced in the market, and they do not heel compelled to own the latest designs or the newest gadgets. They are the people who have found a place of contentment in God.
-Extract from the book 'Managing Money God's Way' by Benny Ho
So which kind of 'live' are you? I like what was written on 'Live Above Your Means' -
Buy the things they do not need
With the money they do not have
Just to impress people they do not know
I think I read it somewhere -
Buy the house where no one stays
Buy the phone where they seldom communicate (except play games)
Buy everything else except living a life!

Enjoying Moments With God
Try this: Tomorrow as you shower, praise God for the
cleansing that Jesus' forgiveness provides. As you're getting dressed, thank
God for clothing you with Christ's righteousness. When you put on your moisturizer,
ask God to soften your heart to his leading throughout the day. As you apply
your makeup, thank him for being the foundation of your life. When you put in
your contacts, ask God to give you eyes to see his workings in the world. And
as you put on your earrings, thank him for beautifying your life with the
fruits of the Spirit.
Who knows? After talking to God throughout the morning,
you might not even need caffeine!

When Jesus Appears To You Today
What holiday was yesterday? Good Friday right. It is the day where Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross, died and was buried. And on the third day he rose from the dead. And that is Easter Sunday which is tomorrow. And on that day was the day when Jesus appears , shows himself to everyone that He is alive. He has risen from the dead and conquered death and proved to all who believes in Him shall not perish but shall have everlasting life. What shall we do when Jesus appears to you today?
Prayer:
Thank you Father in heaven for sending Jesus your only Son to die on the cross for our sins. Thank you dear Almighty and loving God for giving us your Holy Spirit to guide us when we are lost and to comfort us when we are bored. Teach us now as we dwell in your Word. Open up our hearts to receive You and to glorify You with our lives. In Jesus' name we pray.
When Jesus appears to you, what do you think you will do?
When Jesus appears to you, what do you think Jesus will do to you and for you?
If you are lost for words or are in fear, you are not alone. The Bible contains eye witnesses of people whom Jesus appeared to them. Now we shall explore some passages from God's word and you listen and read for yourself whom Jesus appeared to and how were their responses and what Jesus did for them.
Read:
John 20
Luke 24
John 21
When Jesus appears to you today, how would you know, how would you respond and how will He do with you?

Could God Forget You?
He's thinking of you, sustaining you, comforting you, giving you strength.
He doesn't mentally check out.
Whatever challenge you're facing isn't the worst thing that could happen to you.
The worst that could happen would be for God to forget about you.
But he hasn't yet, and he never will.

Dear God, I thank you for giving me
There are many things in life we can occupy ourselves with each day that we can subtly and forgetfully take them for granted. Like the air we breathe or the flowers that delight us along the roadside, we may not say a word of thanks or appreciation until they are slowly or suddenly taken away from us.
Here is a simple exercise to spark off that thanks and appreciation due to our God and Maker and later to those whom we meet each day.
Thank You God for giving me ...
Eyes
Feet & Toes
Nose
Hands
Fingers
Mouth
Ears
Eyebrow
Hair
Legs
Lungs
Skin

Heart & Mind

Talk To God vs Talk To Men
A recent reminder:
It is great to talk to men about God.
It is even greater to talk to God about men.
Pray continually for your loved ones and the lost.
It is great to talk to men about God.
It is even greater to talk to God about men.
Pray continually for your loved ones and the lost.

There are no challenges...
There are no challenges...
... when you allow fear to immobilize you
... when you allow peer pressure to compromise you
... when you allow your culture to conform you
... when you allow ignorance to stupify you
... when you allow apathy to pacify you.

Just For Laughs
WIFE VS. HUSBAND
A couple drove down a country road for several miles, not saying a word.
An earlier discussion had led to an argument and neither of them wanted to concede their position.
As they passed a barnyard of mules, goats, and pigs, the husband asked sarcastically, "Relatives of yours?"
"Yep," the wife replied, "in-laws."
WORDS
A husband read an article to his wife about how many words women use a day... 30,000 to a man's 15,000.
The wife replied, "The reason has to be because we have to repeat everything to men...
The husband then turned to his wife and asked, "What?"
CREATION
A man said to his wife one day, "I don't know how you can be so stupid and so beautiful all at the same time,
" The wife responded, "Allow me to explain. God made me beautiful so you would be attracted to me;
God made me stupid so I would be attracted to you!
WHO DOES WHAT
A man and his wife were having an argument about who should brew the coffee each morning.
The wife said, "You should do it, because you get up first, and then we don't have to wait as long to get our coffee."
The husband said, " You are in charge of cooking around here and you should do it, because that is your job, and I can just wait for my coffee."
Wife replies, "No, you should do it, and besides, it is in the Bible that the man should do the coffee."
Husband replies, "I can't believe that, show me."
So she fetched the Bible, and opened the New Testament and showed him at the top of several pages, that it indeed says.......... "HEBREWS"
THE SILENT TREATMENT
A man and his wife were having some problems at home and were giving each other the silent treatment.
Suddenly, the man realized that the next day, he would need his wife to wake him at 5:00 AM for an early morning business flight.
Not wanting to be the first to break the silence (and LOSE), he wrote on a piece of paper, "Please wake me at 5:00 AM."
He left it where he knew she would find it.
The next morning, the man woke up, only to discover it was 9:00 AM and he had missed his flight.
Furious, he was about to go and see why his wife hadn't wakened him, when he noticed a piece of paper by the bed.
The paper said, "It is 5:00 AM. Wake up."

Life - Fearfully & Wonderfully Made
Life - Psalm 139:13,14 - Thank You God for I am fearfully & wonderfully made.
L - Light dawns into darkness when the baby is born.
May "the Lord is my light" bring a stronger desire to
spend time with the Light. John 8:12
i - 'i' - the 'all for myself' 'i'. The baby's first few questions
may be - Where am I?, What am I?, Who am I? or may be
'Who are You?' - May You be the answer to these questions.
f - 'fight' - the fight with fear, with unanswered questions,
with the system of life, with complicated people. May
this fight end with faith in the Lord.
e - 'ends' with 'entrance' into 'eternity'....May the Lord
enlighten You with His wisdom to educate God's treasure
to you with all His strength and with all His love.

Most Unlike And Unlikely People
God may choose the most unlikely people to be His agents of training in our lives. Perhaps a young child will speak wisdom to an adult. Maybe a troublesome relative is to be God's tool in teaching us.
His choice could be someone we wouldn't ordinarily notice.
His choice could be someone we wouldn't ordinarily notice.

The Things I Do
The things I do,
The things I say,
Will lead some person
Aright or astray.
So the things we do
Should be the best,
And the things we say
Should be to bless.

Aright or astray.

Should be the best,

Life Surprises
Life is full of surprises.
Usually they come in big and small sizes.
In most cases, we're not prepared for them.
