When I Close My Eyes

When I close my eyes,
The darkness surrounds.
But the world around,
They continually live on.
The lights outside lighted;
The birds perched on nest;
The buses get driven and
Brings people to study and
To work and to play.

When I close my eyes,
Many pairs are still open;
Alert to incoming buses;
Attentive to new messages;
Drawn to the music of life
And to the nitty gritties.
And many things unknown.

When it is time to close my eyes, close and God lives on and rules over all still.
